i bought one of these marked as a bras, nice to know its proper id.

do you still have it? Did it have blue/green eyes?

I read some people say they are aggressive. Then others said peacful for it's size. As of now she let's the blue acara that is half her size push her around. I would say she can be Territorial but not aggressive. I read they tend to be more aggressize to other geos but fine with other types of cichlids.

I'm excited to see how she looks onced healed up. I saw this YouTube vid of this 10" male he was amazing. I can't wait for summer so I can get my 5 foot tank.

Hooray glad I could help. These look gorgeous when adult some times called a "dirty brasilliensis" because of the darker body but I think they look great. Someone here had one in a 6ft with 3 Rotkeil Sevs and it look a fantastic tank cant remember who it was now though.

Mine seriously didnt like the satanoperca daemons and thoroughly disliked the GT, even though he half the size never did any harm, just chased constantly, kept it busy though

Might be wrong,looks to have a mild case of HITH.....but with good clean water and diet, you will get over this

yeah I think it has hole in head. But I'm keeping an eye on her doing 2 wc a week and good food I hope it clears up. I need a name for it.

hey well you've got me curious now as mine doesn't seem to have that black band across its eye. i hope this is ok with you snowflake but if i post an image you could compare yours to mine. you will have to excuse the algae on the tank. but you can get the general markings.

and i just like this one due to the birchir his face reminds me one of " eh what you doing!"

I don't mind you adding in at all. Looks like mine same body shape. It has the green eye? I love that about mine. Does yours have red fins? If so then it's the same as mine. Some only have red tips on the fins. The black stripe on the eye of mine comes and goes.

How long have you had him? How is he with the other fish?

i have had mine roughly four months. he doesn't like the ellioti probably the shyest of my geophagus' in with suri and jurupari. but gets chased by the suri. but like expressed by someone else only really chases never seen then do any real damage.

Mine was shy for a day now she knows me and does not run at the site of me. She is always out swimming around. I got her some snails to eat. She is also my largest fish. So maybe that helps her feel more out going.
