My New Fish!

Hey guys i'm new to fishforums.net.

I'm from Trinidad and recently decided to get my tank back up and running. I was just wondering if anyone could guess what type of fish this is???

I was told its a cascadu aka the Hoplosternum littorale. Its a popular food source in my country although i have never eaten it.

Looks like a Hoplosternum to me so that's probably right, althought I'm no expert .

Yes, that is the Genus nick name. Around here I usually see them marked as porthole cat.
