MY mouse keeps getting out of his cage!!

My fancy mouse, Oreo apparently keeps squeezing through the bars of his cage, (One of thouse three level ones), to freedom. He's done it three times in two days!! I finally had to move him to another cage that's a little bit sturdier. It's sad though, cause my other mouse, Ezra (who happens to be a GIRL!!) is preggo, so now Oreo is going to be a deadbeat dad!!

Well,he got out and is nowhere to be found..So sad..

The males tend to eat the babies.

i had a mouse once that kept getting out of his cage, he ended up getting out and i never saw him again
i think my cat ate hime

have you thought of putting pasta out. thet means if he is ok, you'll see nibles in it.

get a humane mousetrap, set it with aforesaid pasta and leave it out where he is likely to be. check it several times a day and especially first thing in the morning. have caught many escaped mice with this method!

Well, we are moving on Friday and I'm not so sure the new renters will appriciate Oreo as much as I did...I do need to get Ezra a new friend though.

Well, I went out and bought a new mouse to keep Ezra company...Her name is Nadia and she is scared if her own shadow..Very skittish..I'm sure the ride home didn't help though...The LPS that I bought her from puts them in paper bags!!
