Oh dear.

If money was no object then any fish would be possible, especially seeing as postage is now offered from alot of sellers. But it then add's around a tenner to the cost of the fish. Caz is interested in some of my fish, but filter in another tenner to the price and it makes a unexpensive pair of fish suddenly twice the price. :/

A shop I have been to I think its called Armely or something?

What about Tingly tropicals I have heard good things about them? Also Ferrybridge Aquatics I know its quite far away but not sure if its an option but again I would reccomend QT their stock....

Also if you can call a big big favour your half the distance compared to me to Pier Aquatics in Wigan.... so about an hour away but so so so worth the travel :)
Qt is no issue :) the issue is getting there. If we go on the bike then whatever we get *has* to fit in a rucksack, and we need to have childcare to go. If I'm on public transport then there's a limit to where I can go in school hours with the youngest in tow, esp when sometimes it takes a trip round several shops to come home with something you wanted.

Is the shop called Armley or in Armley? Ferrybridge is too far, Tingly is pretty far too. Maybe I'm just thinking too narrow!

I'm glad i live where i do! :D I have no end of quality LFS within 30 minutes
S'alright for some :p lucky sod!

It does. If there is another London trip then it'd be doable, but if not then it's a bit unfeasible really. Unless you could source me some other fish from your huge range of fab shops and send those to me too lol.

If you're keen on Ellioti then PM Littlemonkey about them.

As for other fish, let me know what you want and i will keep an eye out. Postage would rise though with the more fish due to weight?!

You know you want one...

Well, Saturday evening I received a little angel from Hollywood1992's granddad's fishroom. Body size is slightly bigger than a 20p. Fins are lovely and flowing, it'll be a beauty as an adult. We've called it Mithril.

I've also bought 4 denisoni barbs from Kesgrave Tropical, they'll arrive Wednesday. Would've bought more but they're not exactly cheap...!

Apart from searching for a couple of other local cichlids this is it for a while.

Ok, so seeing as this thread is useless without pictures :D

More tomorrow when the new additions are in :hyper:

But the two i gave to James were PROPER stripey. And with the Jade Eyeds, the way to distinguish the females from the males is to look for the dot on the dorsal fin...

Would be quite funny if Ditch turned out to be a girly!

those pics showing the poop on the sand reminde me why i will never have another pleco again.....

the tanks looking good though cazzie, except for the poop, keep us informed of any progress :good:

i will be interested how the angel fairs up with other cichlids as its something i probably wouldnt risk trying but good luck with it i hope it works for you.

It looks quite clean to me. Half an hour after I do my weekly water change there is more than that lying around. Mind you, I suppose thats what I get for having two Plecs in one tank. Ive got a third on the way aswell (a Snowball) so I guess my sand will never be clean :shout:

We'll see how it goes, I'm flexible...if it doesn't work out I'll rehome it :) I wouldn't keep a fish that wasn't working out of stubbornness.
