It is always nice when you know that you have given them away to someone who is really going to look after them like you have.

Exactly. This is what i'm doing it for-I didn't sell them, it's not about making money it's about finding knowledgeable homes after the hard work i've done to keep them alive! I just gave tnem away so she is giving me 2 of hers! Exciting stuff!
Thats nice Ny, you can sleep well in your bed tonight knowing they've gone to a good home.

Thanks, I am just putting my red/pink snails on gumtree now too, I have about 4 million and need to cut numbers down, can't see tank for snails

I put the 2 biggest fry into the main tank and something amazing has happened-they have changed colour. The body is still clear but the whole back end from about the anal fin all the way along the tail has turned black-they look like female blue moscows lol.

The 2 fry I put into the main tank yesterday have survived the night. There is plenty cabomba to hide in but they stay on top of the filter, there is about 1.5cm of water so it's prefect for them but the mollies can't go there or they will get beached.
The male molly is very placid and i'm surprised he hasn't chased them even helga the vicious female molly hasn't really paid them much attention.
My red tailed fry is getting black specks on his tail. It's so exciting to see! What isn't exciting to see however is the puddle of water. It wasn't there yesterday morning but it's back with a vengeance today but I had that tank lid open for ages yesterday and you can see the water that's collected in the lid drip down the back and the sides of the tank and go under it so i'm convinced it's that-that explains the water level staying the same. Maybe it's not, maybe i'm just seeing what I want to see

eeee doesn't look good I have to say! I hope it's not a crack in the base of your tank or something :/

I have just sent an email to the company on amazon to tell them the tank has developed a leak. I received this tank on the 18th january - it's not even been 6 months yet, surely it's covered under warranty? I will hopefully get a reply.

Yeah, do you think it's a leak then? You may as well try and get a replacement to be safe though!

Well I don't want to take a chance, it's been like this for a few weeks already. Like you say it's better to be safe! I hope they give me a replacement :)

The best way to find the source of the leak is to 1) wipe down the outside of the tank so it's completely dry. 2) wrap it in a single layer of newspaper. 3) wait to see where the leak is. You should be able to see right away where the newsprint gets wet.

I have just finished filling the tank back up!
I took the water out to about an inch left, removed the heater the filter and put the babies in the bucket of tank water. I dried the whole of the tank with an old towel, I moved the tank onto another table and dried all the water from underneath. I slid it back halfway and held the front half then lay on the ground and had a look under with a torch. I can't see any cracks, I ran my fingers across the edges and I feel nothing. I pressed newspaper against it for about 5 mins and no wetness. I turned the tank around carefully and did the same-again no wetness but did notice the drip mark where the waters been constantly dripping from the hood. Here is a pic before I cleaned it.

I put the tank back onto the table and filled it up. As soon as I did - I noticed the constant dripping from the top of the tank again and I think I know why. When I have the lid open, you can see the bubbles from the air pump flying up in the air-they go pretty high- which will be gathering in the lid when it's closed. When I open it, because it's at an angle, the water then runs to the back of the tank and in turn drips down which collects at the side of the tank and because the floors not completely flat-it gathers at the front.
Just call me columbo hahahahaha!

The tanks staying closed now and the back is dry and there is a towel there. Tomorrow will be the test. If there is a puddle then my theory is out the window lol. I will wait until then before I email the company back.

try and see if you can get a condensation shield for your tank, that'll make a big difference!

Yeah I will need to do something. The update is-no water under the tank today :D
I am so relieved.
My fry who are in the main tank are doing well! I added a 3rd as he's as big as the 2 who I let out the other day and they are all swimming above the filter.
The female seems to disappear for long periods of time, I hope she's not hunting lol.
My poor endler can't seem to get near the female. Am I right to think that the endler will be able to mate with the female guppy? I am going to pick up a female endler on sunday anyway as she won't let him near her lol.

3 week old fry-and some eggs which I am hoping are from my MTS.

Since putting them and my ramshorn snails on gumtree-I have been swamped with emails. I didn't think they would be so popular. I have hundreds of the ramshorns and only about 30-40 of the MTS but they are the ones the people are wanting. So I put the small ones and the newborns into the trap so when folk came to buy them-I didn't have to hunt for them as they are so well camouflaged in the sand and now I have noticed eggs. There were a few big ones who had climbed into the trap so i'm hoping it's there's.

I have a thin layer of sand in there now since they like burrowing. The big ones can climb out the trap easily but the smaller ones are in there keeping it clean.
