My frogs are singing!

I keep catching my little ADF's singing in the evening! They sound like tiny dolphins or something, it's such a funny noise. I worry about this tank as it's slightly overstocked and I have a small algae problem but they must be happy.

My only issue is that if they actually mate I have no space for tadpoles so hopefully they eat any eggs!

Haha tbf I think I've finally got on top of it (sorry froggies) so perhaps they're giving me their approval!

Ha! Besides my fish, I have 3 Fire Belly Toads for appx. 8 years, they actually croak and sound like a small dog barking in the distance. In a tank with a small waterfall, stones, and Java Moss, pretty weird when these guys start “barking”. Anybody that has Fire Bellies will understand the bark, pretty funny!

My firebelly toad has never barked, probably because he's by himself. But Mrs. Badger had a adf when she was in college and it would sing. It sounded like the ref whistle in that little electronic football game a lot of us had in the 80s.

We have a pair of ADFs that have been with us for 3 years. I have never heard them sing. How sad! What’s up with that?

@Jamie D. once posted that she heard hers singing too . I think it’s probably one of those sounds that only people with the best hearing pick up . That leaves me out .

That’s a crock too . Nothing chaps my hide more than people , especially women who have superior hearing to males , call my deafness “ selective hearing “ . As a guy with very poor hearing I can tell you most emphatically that I WANT to hear but can’t . People see a blind man and they take him by the hand and guide him , people see a lame man and they help him but a deaf man is either not listening or stupid . Really gravels me !
Didn’t mean to go off on you Man but this is an issue that’s near and dear to me .

I bought my hearing aids from Costco. But now my hearing loss is beyond what these aids can adjust for.

And that’s another very big thing . Hearing aids can only do so much . They can’t amplify what’s not there . I’ll never own a pair , it would be money down the drain .
