I asked him for my money back (paid through paypal) and he better not give me any hassle... I'm not a happy person when I've been ripped off.

Good luck getting your money back though, sadly Im sure he'd rather have a bad feedback than refund $67. Thats the problem with e-bay, you dont have any rights once you have paid.

Maybe he is a sound guy and will refund you.

That's why I would only buy fish mail-order from a respected online-store... I doubt you will have much trouble getting your money back. Besides you should be covered on Paypal.

that's what I'm hoping, that if HE doesn't refund me, paypal will step in... And I normally wouldn't have bought it from a person except that he runs www.californiacichlids.com, which I assumed was some sort of local LFS who also ships out to online customers.... judging by the state of the box, he doesn't do it often.

report to paypal that the fish is dead on arrival.
they MIGHT ask you to ship back the dead fish to the seller.
use a trackable shipping when sending back the fish.
once paypal has confirmed that the package has been received by the seller.
they MIGHT give you a refund.
