Ummm... No :) This is harrd... I'd upgrade it to a 10 but they are so bloomin expensive.
 totally agree with you there!
my 15gal was nearly £100 that is prb because i got verything with it but im 13 so i havnt got much money

I know, the 4.5 ish one that I'll use is only £10.99, although with black substrate, filter heater etc. it will be about... £35. Eep

UPDATE, duh, I've been using US gallons. Its only 3.7 UK gallons. So not really big enough for 3 cories and something else. *sigh* Why is the biggest I can easily afford/accomodate a 16x8x8?

The inch per gallon guideline applies to US gallons. Unless you thought it was 5 UK gallons, I don't see what difference the fact that it is 3.5 UK gallons makes?

Anyway, you can't realy fit 3 cories in a 5 gallon - the albinos you see are bronze and get to 3" and they like to have room to swim and be active. Pygmy cories would work but they don't come in albino or a leukistic morph.

Realy your options are limmited to a white opage betta OR a school of 5-6 white neons. There aren't many very small albino fish. Alternatively, 2-3 (male so they don't breed) platies OR 2-4 male guppies with as white a color as possible would work but finding a completely white one would probably be impossible. Blue coral platies tend to look predominantly white-silver though.

Unfortunately, most albino fish are either too big or like to school.

Albino neons are pretty uncommon. I think, anyway. Are they the lu-something ones? If so, they are definately uncommon. And blind cave fish are just a kind of tetra I think, never seen them around.
There's both types of fish at one of 'my' not so local, LFS. It's in Pontefract if that helps

They also have African Albino Clawed Frogs (not dwarf), but they grow to about 5-6inch. I've got a small one in a 5G (UK) at the moment with a Betta. It will outgrow the tank but I will upgrade as and when...

Anything under 20G is pointless for a proper Albino setup.

You can get Albino Corys, Albino Bristlenose, various albino barbs and tetra. There are plenty of things to choose from, just dont restrict yourself to a stupidly small tank.

i wouldnt call ot a stupidly small tank.i have alot of small setups that look great.mabe a biggger one would be better but how about ordering a white betta?and some ghost shrimp or an adf!then use black substrate background to bring out the colours  try bettaman im sure he can get you a white one

I know you don't have the space, so this might be a moot point.

I wouldn't mix mollies with cories. Mollies are really a brackish fish, and though they survive in freshwater, they do better with salty freshwater to brackish.

Of course, cories can't tolerate salt, so one of your fish will be unhappy or unhealthy.

Just something to consider.

A stupidly small tank? A tank of that size is all I can afford and fit in my room. The biggest tank I have is about 20usg, and I only got that because it was fairly cheap in the freeads and it came with a filter. I only get £20 a month. A lot of that goes on fish food, dechlor, stocking my 20 and meds. The only think bigger I can afford is a hex, which I think is about 5 gallons. But even then thats £20 just for the tank. Then its between £10 and £20 for a filter, £15 for a heater, £4 ish for the substrate, then about £10-£15 for the fish.

The thing with a betta is that I have two already. Great as they are, i want something different. I think the freeads comes out tomorrow. I'll take a looksie, but the tanks in there are either on there own (ie, nothing with it), which defies the point as that jacks the price up loads, with a stand which I don't want (and the stand adds to the price), or too big. Which is great, but I don't want a massive albino tank, and I'll have to shuffle my room around a lot. Plus dad was going on about how much weight the floor can hold... etc. etc. The best tank size would be a 10, but its not majorly likely one will crop up with all the equiptment.

they do often!a small tank most are 2foot(gallons anyone????)and you can get them for about £20 then stick a betta in the 4.5gal!

There might be a 2fter, but the problem with that is getting it on my desk/making sure the desk can handle the weight. I've seen what someone thinks is a ten on ebay-
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...4381055496&rd=1
It has fish in it (stupid fish at that...), but these can be rehomed in my 20/put up for adoption (especialy if that plecos a common). But I'll see.

did you even think of getting a kit? Those are alot cheaper than getting all seperately.

if you fill out the info on this calculator, it will tell you at the end how much weight the water in your tank is. for instance, a 24x12x12 tank (12 UKg) holds ~125 lbs of water.

i say you probably just have to give up on having a "freak tank" until you have room for something larger. i also suspect that your desk won't happily hold more than 300lbs, so you probably wouldn't want to add anymore tanks than what you've already got on it....

--EDIT--
think maybe i oughta include the link?
