My cardinal tetra looks strange

I’ve noticed my cardinal tetra, Timothy, is looking a little tubby. I was wondering if he is actually a pregnant girl or if he is constipated

Just one. I think my betta ate the others

They like to be in schools, I'm not sure what's going on with it.

He seems to be fine with the other fish. Both cardinals are big enough to not be eaten. But this guy, Timothy, is a lot larger than the other, Jill. Would it be a good idea to get more cardinals so they can be in a school?
