Hello all! I recently purchased some new decor for my Fluval spec V I have one female betta in there and some mopani wood and some moss balls and one silk plant and some tall fake grass

I would personally get a black background, change the substrate to a brown or black sand, and get some live plants. I'm not slamming you, just gibing you options.

I agree with @PheonixKingZ a dark background and dark substrate would help lessen the stress for your betta and bring out her colors. It never hurts to add live plants, they help improve your water quality. I have moss balls in all my tanks except my RES turtle tank. Does your betta ever sit on them? A betta owner told me that his betta likes to push around a small moss ball like he is playing soccer.
