Well I have changed my larger tank around again after I bough another fire eel which are ust about my favourite fish. Hes about 21 inch long and very greedy where earthworms are concerned.
I was also given two oscars from a friend about 9 inch or so long and I picked up 3 Polypterus this week a Delhezi, Ornatapinnis and a Endelichiri.
I'm liking the tank now and just waiting for the fish to settle and then I'll possibly move the plants out or at least only leave a couple in

What plans have you got then Neil if your going down the oddball route?

Great looking collection mate!

BTW, Your Endlicheri is wild caught, and looks to be from Guinea.

ha ha happy days cheers for that. Its had a disease in the past where its lost a bit of tissue on its back but its well healed over. I love the Endi hes so bold and that big flat head is funny as hes looking for pellets. Anything thats in theway just gets barged out

Yup, Endlicheri are awesome!

Not sure if it interests you, but being a Guinea Endli, those thick black bars will really pop out jet black, but only if kept on a certain substrate.
Here in Japan we use red or tan sand or crushed Garnet stone to bring out colors and contrast on Arowana and Bichirs.

With Bichirs, white or pale substrate will leave them looking very washed out.

Keep up the work mate.
I think next in line for you is a PO. Bichir Bichir, or a PO. Congicus!

Looking great Simon. Your Oscars are great!!! No real knowledge of any of the others, but they look great too! :) Interesting to see the plants in there too! :good:

Cheers for the comments

Ive spread a lot of the plants out in the other tanks but a couple remain. Gasmask I hear you on the substrate and will look into going a bit darker as it does now look too bright

I finally saw the Delly this morning he is so shy!!

It's a sand ( the Limpopo) :good:

The fish look great aswell  :good:

Its a type of sand Simon. It is a mixture of black, dark grey and light grey particles of sand.

25kg for £20 at my lfs.
