Multiple Arrowanas?

Hi,

Is it possible to keep 2 Black Arrowana's in one tank of say 125gallons? I have neither and don't plan to any time soon but I was recreationaly reading about these fish and nothin I have come across says anything about keeping more than one.

You can keep Black Arowanas together and it has been done, but in a tank of 125 gallons I would say certainly not. Any full grown Arowanas should be given at least a 6x2x2 tank which is around 180 gallons and some species will demand more.

Our local zoo has three adult silver arowanas together in a tank.... but the tank is 30 feet long.

There's some adult silverdollars & pacu in there too

...and a 3 foot gibby.
