Moving Around The Decor

i have a BN plec who believes the aquarium is his, and im wondering if i move the decor around will it perhaps remove a bit of his agressiveness?

It will distract him for a while because his previous spot he claimed his will be moved. But, it will not take long for him to adapt to a new spot to call his and for him to resume his previous aggressive behavior.

well, he sort of claims the whole bottom of the tank, if there is food around he will chase fish away from the pellet he calls his

Try feeding a variety of food is the plec is causing problems.

I vary food from frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, daphnia, vegetable, flake food, sinking pellets and hikari algae wafers.

The algae wafers are great for your plec and will keep him busy whilst you feed your other fish something different. I tend to drop in an algae wafer for my BN, some sinking pellets for the corys and flake food for all the other fish. This is only on the days I feed flake food, the other days when I feed bloodworm etc he seems fine eating that.

That's normal. My plecos try and scare other fish away from there waffers. It's not really being aggressive. He is not hurting any other fish or stressing them out right? He just wants to eat his food and not be bothered.

ok, thats good, and i usually do give him either algae wafers or something that sinks, just theres other bottom dwelling fish that like his food too, but ill just make sure they can eat too
