Hi There!
Happy to have joined this community.

A friend of mine is moving out of the UK in the near future, and has decided to give me their 250L tank and all their fish.
This is a list of what fish currently live in the tank:

5 x Angel fish
4 x Congo tetra
15 x Marble hatchet fish
15 x Cardinal tetra
15 x Glow light tetra
2 x Lamp eye tetra
15 x Otocinclus catfish
15 x Blood fin tetra
1 x German red Bristlenose pleco (suspected male, currently 2-3 inches long)
1 x Blue phantom pleco (currently 2-3 inches long)
1 x King tiger pleco (currently 4-5 inches long)
1 x Giant African fan shrimp (Vampire shrimp)
10 x Khuhli loaches
Shrimp (Amano, Wood, Cherry (various colours))
Snails (Rabbit, red spotted/ onion, zebra, spiral horned)

I live about 20 minutes away from the house. I have a plan for how to move this while causing minimal stress on the fish. My plan is outlined below:

My friend has got some bags from the local fish store (quite a few), they will put the fish etc. into the bags making sure there is enough water and plenty of air.
I have located one of those Styrofoam boxes that fish get shipped in to put the bags of fish, plants etc. in.
I've got a big water container, 25L, which I plan to fill with some of the tank water they currently have.
I'll also leave a small layer of water over the gravel in the tank so the bacteria don't die.
When I get back I'll put the 25L back in the tank.
I'll fill up the rest of the tank with new water.
Then I'll float the bags with the fish and slowly acclimatize them to the new tank water.

How does this sound for a plan?

Thanks in advance

No advice from me, sorry, just wanted to say that that is an incredible stock. So many otocinclus, too!
Can we get photos of the tank and/or fish at some point?

Welcome to the forum.

"I'll also leave a small layer of water over the gravel in the tank so the bacteria don't die."

Be certain the filter media stays wet (submersed), as well.
