Actually, at another site I moderate, the joint admins present each of the mods a $20 Amazon gift voucher each Christmas.

Actually, at another site I moderate, the joint admins present each of the mods a $20 Amazon gift voucher each Christmas.

Though most mods do deserve recognition for their services (most of which go unnoticed by the many) does it not land us in the philosophical quagmire that affects remuneration of politicians, in that those that want to do that job should be the first disqualified from doing it?

It is certainly true that those that want to be mods are usually the last people to be considered if a vacancy arises.

As for political association, this is a slur against mods in general, however, as it is you, and as long as your regular donations to the mods beer cooler continue, I'll ignore it...
