After a bt of compramising finally got them to spawn, the pink male was usless and didnt have a clue what to do so i brought in my backup plan lol, i took him out and added my red male, who built a decent nest, then took him bk out and added the pink male who then carried the nest on and got the idea lol..

They spawned around dinner time today and i got some decent footage for you to watch :)

Enjoy...

My male and sharons female, spawning

You are going to have babies out the wazoo!

Lucky. I can't even get mine to do it once! Am I missing some secret information? ;)

Both times i have done it i have done exactly the same thing and it worked great for me (also sharron has just spawned two crowntails the sam way)

I put male in for about 30 mins - then add the female in the chimney - then let her out when she barred up, then leave her for 1 - 3 hours... then put her bk in chimney for about 8-10 hours then release her again... both times they have got straight to it (also sharrons as well)

I like how you put in the other male to show him the ropes, and then he had that "Oooooooooh, I see now." moment. LOL

Looks like they'll make some great babies. :good:

awww you lucky sod!
thats it the spawn tank is getting emptied the kribs can bog off!
im going to have too get some babies

Hmm...I guess that would be easier to do if I were using a dark female. Shiva's so light, she doesn't show any lines. How aggressive was he with her during the first 1-3 hours out?

Not much really, a bit of chasing about and flaring, then i just put her bk in, it seems to skip all the nasty part lol...

Soon as i let her out she went straight under nest and within 5 mins they did it..

Ps.. Sharons CT had no lines either, she just waited 30 mins before letting her out, then she did same as above and same result happened for her.

Quick update, the eggs are doing fine and the male is doing a great job up to now :)

Glad to hear it 5teady! Keep us updated on this batch like you did your last. How are they doing btw?
