Mexico

[fish are friends....]

Hey everyone.
I have just got back from Mexico and would like to share with you the fist that I saw.

While we were there I went snorkeling in a national park in the sea. It was full of amazing coral and fish.

The most amazing thing i saw was a nurse shark. It was about 7ft long and was only about 5 ft away from me... just resting on the sea bed.
I also saw a stingray and a beautiful pair of French Angelfish.

There were a lot of meduim sized fish, about a ft long and they were yellow and silver striped.. Does anybody know what they were?

I can't wait for pics either.

I've been to mexico a couple times and I'm always well behaved around reefs. But around public beaches I tend to chase everything. Fish, crabs, seastars, sea scates, and stingrays. I tend to swim so much I get exhausted and end up half drowned .

I went to Cancun. Was my first time there and i'm definately going back!!

Theres no other place like Cancun! You can always have fun there. What places did you visit?

I went to Cancun. Was my first time there and i'm definately going back!!

Personally for reefs, I would go a bit more south as Cancun is very deteriorated. If you are into diving or snorkeling go to Belize. If you are going for the beaches and nightlife, stick to Cancun.

I just got from colombia south america the other day, had a fantastic time out there....
will post photos soon but mine are more of rivers/lakes/mountains

Ok, thanks for the advice. I'm hoping to take my gap year out there as I am going to study Marine Biology. It would be a great place to gain experience doing conservation work with the Turtles and stuff. I just hope everything goes according to plan, still a long way to go till that happens tho, hehe
