Today a friend came visiting who also keeps mbuna and asked me if i wanted a fish has it was very aggressive in his tank has all the fish he had were a smaller size, please can anyone give me a ID on the fish it is the one fighting with my tank boss a male yellow lab, the fighting lasted quite a while but the new addition has been defeated and is remaining in one corner of the tank trying not to get the attention of the dominant yellow lab.

the new comer doesn't look like a true variant of Labidochromis caeruleus, cross breed I would think.
maybe mixed with Maylandia estherae or Metriaclima estherae a more aggressive but similarly patterned/colored "Red Zebra",

Stellar pictures, good job.

oh and ouch, that is not a good kiss. More tongue less teeth LMAO.

Edit: I let my ex post that, sorry.

Maybe your 'ex' should become a member!
He just laughed, literally .. getting him to "participate" is like pulling teeth..
he only looks at any of it when I put in in his face..
Did however get a rise from this thread as this type of fish is his focus.
