just a tip with that goniapora, they dont tend to do well in captivity full stop, never mind in a newly set up tank. It would like to bed spot fed some phyto plankton and hopefully you can keep it happy

Thanks for the tip, one of my mates informed me it wasnt to hard to care for (think i will kick him for that) its the only one i didnt read to much about! .

Have done some more homework on the goniapora and hope i can keep him happy but only time will tell. My CLOVE polyp has not really come out today so i hope its ok (messed with tank for clown see previous post), water change was done and leather was taken out as he had gone downhill some more . LFS has a delivery coming in soon weather permitting so hope to pick up some more stuff , maybe even a fish?!

Corals sometimes have a few hours when they stop in bed...might be time for a water change/ full set of tests though aswel just to be sure.

Did all tests just before i changed my water but after the clown incident. All good only thing registering was nitrate at 5mg . As of today that makes 2 days it has been closed. Polyps look bad on the whole most look small and dark (dead?) and others seem ok but not out! Gonipora is doing well and comes in and out at will . Mushies are great and look amazing (might just stick with these ). Going to get tests for cal and phos today. Have been buffering these for 2 weeks.

Oh and for the record i hate the stock skimmer that came with the system i just cant keep it at the right level or get it to work half of the time! . I need to get another but short on funds, what others fit and are good? Any help please?

Clove unwell now and really looks dead . Picked up a calcium test kit but no phosphates till monday.

Hoping the delivery can get to my LFS today! Want to get some rowaphos and maybe some more LR, depending on what stock they get in

Ok so LFS delivery was changed to wednesday (big surprise ). Did manage pick pick up some phosphate killer! (salifert) got to put it in something now, i have an organza bag mainly used for wedding favours it even has a pull string top would this be ok to use do you think?

Oh and clove polyp died so took that out also . Can only think it is high phosphate but everything else is good so no idea! Still waiting for the test kits to come in.
