Massive Algae Problem With Cycling Tank

Hello all,
my 200l is finally coming to the end of it's cycle (nitrites finally dropping ) however i have now got MASSIVE amounts of hair algae, green algae, brown algae; pretty much all types of algae. It is over all my decor wood and live plants and looks awful :l im assuming/hoping that after i do my 90% water change and clean most of the algae off that it wont simply return in such massive amounts? Should i be worried about this much algae or will it go away after the water change? Thanks everyone

P.S. the Dwarf otos i will be putting in there after the cycle is complete will have a field day with all the algae

They'll only consume the diatoms. You'll have to physically remove the rest of the algae.

How long was the photo period while you cycled? And you cycled with live plants. May I have a picture of your tank?

The light was on for about 10 hours a day with 1.5 wpg of t8 lighting. im sorry but i dont have a camera atm.
I realised that i will have to crack out the old algae brush to get rid of the algae myself
i am dosing with ferts and flourish excel if that helps

It is quite common with a new tank as ammonia and light are the main causes. 10 hours per day won't be helping much either. I would lower to 7 or 8.
