Marine Sand ?

Is it ok to use Marine Sand in a Tropical Tank ?

Im not 100% sure but I believe this contains minerals that buffer your pH to be high, on the end of 8.0 or so. So prob only wanna use if the freshwater fish likes that high pH....ie. african cichlids

Try using just regular playsand. Its cheap but a bit dirty. Just have to rinse it a bit more but prob better cause will not buffer water at all
