Livebearer that gives birht to largest fry?

A livebearer that does have extremely large fry is the Belonesox Belizanus or Maxillosus (pike topminnow & yellow pike topminnow). They are 20-30mm in size.
They are a preditory livebearer and the female gets to 20cm.

Idont think you would want them in a common community tank!

Another one you probably don't want in your tank is the Anabeps anableps, or four eyed livebearer. It's babies can be 2 inches long at birth and the adults grow up to 10 inches according to my book.

Freshwater stingrays are all livebearers as well. Fry can be 5" or more across at birth. Lots of folks are starting to have success with these.

The great white shark is also a livebearer, but probably not what you had in mind when you asked...

Paulthegreat had asked about swordtail fry. I have never kept them but have read that they can have 40-80 fry per batch. I have also read that their fry are similar in size to platy fry which are about 5-6mm long at birth. With platies at birth usually the rear half of the body is transparent.
