Hi.
Im starting up my tank, and ive used this before and thinking of using it again for my new tank. Its made by Soll (A french company) And its called Bactinettes - My LFS love the stuff!
On the leaftlet it says ''Live, Immediately active filter-bacteria: For Crystal clear water, allowed immediate stocking of new aquarium (24 Hrs).
Eliminates ammonia, nitrite and nitrates
Removes chlorine.
Bind heavy metals
Suitable for fresh, cold and marine water.
Inside it says
Live filter bacteria, allowing immediate stocking of a aquarium within 24 hours.
The quickets natural solution against ammonia, nitrite and nitrate.
Healthy fish, healthy plants.
Can be used to re-seed the filter of a mature aquarium
For crystal clear water.
It has a FAQ part, and says ill have to use a dose after every time i clean my filter, but i clean it in the aquarium water i have taken out anyway. I used it in my BiOrb and everything has been great so far, so i think ill get it again. All you do is drain the water they come in and dangle them in a net. Anyone else used them/what do you think about Live Bacteria?
Thanks for any replies. CJ.

You kind of slot it in and take it out... My new tank has an Elite stingray filter.
You need to either modify or replace the filter before you attempt the cycle, or you will just waste your time
Personally, I'd change filters, since the stingrays are poor at both mechanical and biological filtering, even after modifications, due to the limited space for media in them. You can however use a Dremmle to cut open the Zeolite cartriges and install Sponge, Ceramic Rings or other bio-media. This stops you needing regular replacements when the tank is running also, saving money in the long-run while keeping the water quality far better than Zeolite will
