I've got 2 aps HOBs and apart from being a tad noisy at first they're actually really good. I got mine on 24*12*15 tanks, one on the biotope and one on the garage tank which has a low water level for emmersed anubias. Go for it.

.Just idea..... how about swapping the fissidens over with the HC and have a bigger HC carpet in the open space?. This way you dont have to source a much fissidens...HC is far easier to get hold of.

Not sure i am undestanding you there Fishy. The Fissidens will only be a smallish patch as the darker green shows on the diagram. I know what you mean about it being hard to get hold of. I cannot find it on any sites like Aqua or TGM.
Not sure about adding moss to the rocks as i like the look of them, however i was looking at the tree in out garden that has ivy all around the bottom 1/4 of it and i thought hey i could do that using some of the moss
LP
.... that would be just what i would do though
No problem Fishy
I think you might be right with moving the Fissidens over to the left and leave the main area hc.
Adjusted the image.
