Kribs, Festive Chilid, Or Angels?

as you know, im restocking my tank. here is my future stock:

1 bgk
1 peacock eel
1 rtbs
1 albino bristlenose plec

tank is 90 gallons


i need a little help deciding. kribesis, festive chilid or angelfish? i want one that will do well in my tank. and if none of these work, then what fish?

heres a little info just in case:

bgk can eat fish 3 inches and under
rtbs is territorial
eel can eat fish 3 inches and under
top swimmer wanted

Kribs occupy the bottom of the tank so will be in close contact with your eels and rtbs. Festives get bigger iirc so would probably be a better choice. Angel fish would also be a good choice. they're at the more 'peaceful' end of the cichlid scale. Also consider Fairy cichlids, very interesting and beautiful fish.

Personally i would say angelfish

They are always there when you enter the room, and they come in such variety...
i'm a bit bias tho

ANGELS! YAY! how many angels?

Either 1,2, or 6. I have found if you have numbers inbetween then there can be alot of aggression. If you have 6 then you can observe them and pick out what is looking likely to be a potential pairing. Angels do come in a vast amount of colours and patterns, the blue ones are particularly pretty! I have a yellow Koi and he is stunning!

Dont get 1 angel

Angels, like almost all cichlids appreciate their own company!! Even most of the big aggressive 'territorial' cichlids appreciate company of their own species (its OUR problem that we just dont provide them with enough space to do so...).

I would advise buying 6 small angels (body size of a 50p coin) and grow them on, as they get bigger, you will see which ones get on and which ones dont. Six angel means you might only end up needing to remove one or two but if you buy the 6 together (even if not from same tank or place... but at same size) then they are equal to sort themselves out.

I would get 2, no fish should be by itself, also you can then have different kinds of angels.

I'd go for a pair of Festive Cichlids since BGK can be nippy and may nip the Angel's fins

My BGK and angelfish are fine together, i think if you had veiltail angels they would go for them though.
