While the PKs are gorgeous fish, a PK is merely a style of Betta splendens. I have moved this thread from the non-splendens area to the splendens area so that B splendens enthusiasts can see it. I am an owner and would-be breeder of other species of bettas, not merely color or fin type variations of splendens. These PK splendens belong with the long finned CT and VT varieties of splendens. My male Betta simplex seems to be holding right now while his mate swims around the tank with him. He is a truly non-splendens Betta. They are both ignoring each other while he is busy caring for the eggs / fry in his mouth.
