Yeah spot on. The same is likely to happen with 2 unless there a Pair. The best way to get a pair would be to get 4 and wait for 2 to pair up then sell the other 2. Does that make sense? There is room for 4 just while you wait for 2 to pair but after that the pair will bully the other 2.

if you have small angels then yes 4 are fine till as said 2 pair up once they have paired then remove the 2 that are singles

what people are saying is 4 adult A. would not get on and will usually fight to the death B. 4 of that size would not be comfortable in the stated tank size
