Just how genetically messed up are feeder guppy?

I've found close to wild form feeders, as well as run of the mill fancy guppies. On one hand, the lack of respect given to feeders could mean they're sickly, but if not, they will be better guppies than show forms, though clearly not as showy.

Honestly? The tanks are kept in a fantastic condition. I haven’t seen algae on a single piece of glass. And when I went there when I was starting my fish keeping life they refused to sell me any fish until my tank was cycled and they pointed out everything i needed to get started. Que weekly meetings with them until I finally got the all clear to buy fish. But yes. They are devastatingly expensive, I will never again buy a tank from them. But their fish are super lovely and typically have fantastic coloring. It’s called Seven Seas Tropical Fish is y’all wanna google it.

They sell stingrays sometimes and lemme tell you it’s fascinating to watch them.

If I go back soon I’ll try and snap some pics

Updates: I officially moved all my new cory’s to my main tanks from their QT! 11 of the 12 survived. And I gotta say, I’m in love. As a new fish parent I hadn’t known that the different colors of cories were completely different species, so rather than buy a lot of one species I bought one specimen from a lot of species. So this is my first time having a proper school, and I love it so much!! They’re constantly swimming together and laying with each other and they’re so fascinating to watch. My other mix and matched cories interact and follow each other, but not nearly the same. I feel so bad about it that they don’t have the same family experience. My mix match batch also aren’t nearly as active in their tank exploration, but they are also extremely chill. My new matching batch are very skittish and all mysteriously vanish when I approach the tank 😅

And the guppy fry that came with them are still alive. One of them isn’t growing though. After QT I put the smallest one in the tank with my newborn fry that were born a few days ago and he wasn’t much bigger despite being at least two weeks old. The others are fine so far, though now that they’re integrated with my fry tanks according to their sizes, I can’t really tell which ones they are anymore. It’ll probably be extremely apparent though in adulthood 🤣
