Richard you are bang on, i will certainly stop questioning their price in future.
Here are some pictures as best as i could do!
First one is the general setup with the filter turned off, hence nice straight bubbles. The camera struggles to actually capture the bubbles since most of them are too fine and too fast, they blur.
Close up, again the camera struggles to capture a lot of the smaller bubbles that are forming a mist. So what you are seeing on the picture is bubbling from the full surface of the ceramic disk, but you are missing many of the micro fine bubbles! Again the filter outlet is turned off so the bubbles go up straight but still they are so fine that they hang around for quite a bit
Now this is the whole point of why i wanted to pay the extra for the ADA. George inspired me to read a lot of Tom Barrs work on the CO2 mist, which i went away a did.
I don’t know how many of you understand this but the idea being that you produce a fine mist of CO2 bubbles and the filter outlet is then directed at them from the other side of the tank which blows them all around the tank, thus giving super fine CO2 bubbles to all corners of the tank!! Yes, sure its not as pretty as watching the bubbles float uniformly to the surface but the theory of it working certainly makes sense and therefore it should hopefully be worth it!!
Is this picture, the filter has been turned on and you can see bubbles are being whipped all around the diffuser (and ultimately around the tank!!). They go absolutely everywhere, i have tried to watch one or two bubbles individually and have noticed that they have hung around in the water for minutes!!
Like i said before, not the nicest shot but i couldn’t afford lots of people to be downloading from my server so i can only put up one video! I have a great shot with the filter off and the bubbles gently rising to the surface but since that isn`t my aim, i have choose to give you this one, where the CO2 mist idea is in full practice! LOOK how many bubbles go down, rather than up to the surface! Sorry i could not rotate a film so you will have to turn your head, lol.

I can safely say that the CO2 mist i have wanted has been achieved! There are bubbles moving to ALL far corners of the tank.
Due to this there are a few "unwanted" or unwelcome repercussions.
Firstly, there are so many super fine bubbles flying around the tank that to a VERY SLIGHT degree, it clouds the water. Ever so slightly, but you can see the bubbles moving around the tank all the time. The bubbles are microscopic, so it isn`t a massive issue and they are not unsightly (they are just bubbles!!) but they are there never the less.
Secondly, the bubbles attach themselves to everything!! it makes it look like all the plants are pearling. Now this isn`t a bad thing, in fact it looks very healthy for the plants, but it is quite excessive and again may not be to everyone’s taste. I was aware of this issue before i tried this setup but in my opinion i am happier with CO2 fed plants than dieing or less healthy ones! I also personally like to see the fake pearling, it looks nice and to be honest, the true pearling bubbles are bigger, so it is obvious which is which.
Overall 10/10. I knew what i wanted it to do and it has done it perfectly.
BTW, without saying, it looks the part
Hope thats useful and i haven`t just been whittering!

Chris
