I've Got A Challenge For Ya

I'm also thinking baby cichlid. Watching them a bit closer made me wonder if it was a baby firemouth... do baby firemouths look like this?

Chuka - he hails from West Africa, and is definitely a baby Tilapia of some sort, most likely a Rendali, unless I miss my guess. I hope you have a large tank, because he will get big.

Great fish, I wish that was near my home, I'm looking around for Tilapia with no luck. All the best - Craig

My thoughts are definately NOT rockbass or bluegill. I am leaning towards a cichlid hybrid.
Maybee my thoughts are wrong but wouldn't a native fish be out of the question. It is a hot spring so naturally any native fish would not be able to handle the warm water?

Thanks, I have a weird obsession with Tilapia, I've kept enough species over the years to know when I see one! :)

He doesnt look like a bottom feeder. He doesnt seem to have the feelers that a gourami have either. Maybe a cichlid of some type.
