I've about had it with Etsy...

I prefer to use a debit card over cash, although it leaves me with no change for people begging.
That’s me too . I feel like I’m skipping a societal obligation if I pass up a panhandler . I guess a guy could always get a couple bucks cash back . The screen always asks you if you want to .

Gee, I haven't had a working debit card for 10+ years. I guess because I never used it for anything the bank decided I didn't need it. My husband's still works. I prefer the limited protections of cc.
But I do resent the places that add their cc costs onto my tab (looking at you sports bar). That's the only place I've noticed doing that...so far. Before I understood that policy, I tipped based on my tab, not their added costs, so our servers got stiffed by a little bit. We're generous tippers, this just seems tacky...& sneaky

Well, it looks like I finally got my money. So that's nice. Only took a week and a half.
I'm glad you got paid. I restore antique sewing machines, my friend that restores the cabinets has an etsy account she has never used. we typically sell on Marketplace, local only, cash only. We aren't really making any money, just making beautiful useful items that do not end up in the landfill.
(a lot of people that inherit a treadle have no idea how to operate it, and so the shed comes first, then if we don't buy it sometimes the landfill).
I have to accept credit cards in the pond service but I probably only accept 10 a year and I don't even know if they are credit or debit when I process them. elavon fees are reasonable, and it's a necessary evil.
I don't think I will be selling on etsy anytime soon
