Yes but be aware that if they breed they WILL get aggressive so don't add too many other fish and provide lots of cover and hiding places for the other fish to escape to.

Vixen , you've been in a quandary for quite some time now :lol: , a couple of months ago it was apistos or chocolate gouramis :p ,

I would say if you can get the nannacara , get 1 male and 2 females , if you had a larger tank say a 30 gal , then I would say get a male and a female.
They love to breed and will do so almost instantly [ I.M.E ] .

Just remember the males and females look very different , the males are much more colorful , not to say the females aren't a beautiful fish , they are , just not as colorful.
Males are usually twice the size of the female and he will become almost relentless when it comes time to breed , you'll need many hiding places / lots of cover in the form of plants/ rocks/ caves .
