Is This A Type Of Algae? How To Stop?

I was doing a water change and found this brown stringy thing on my ac 30. Is this a type of algae? How To Prevent?

It looks more like gunk (biofilm) from dirty and debris in the tank that is collecting in that area. Try wiping it out each day with a clean fish sponge. Smell it and if it smells musty or mouldy it could be blue green algae (Cyanobacter bacteria).
