Is There Room For An Angel Fish Or 2

I have a UK 10 Gallon, w 60cm, h, 30 cm, w 30cm... The tank is fully cycled and I have x4 Platys, 1 Sailfin Molly and 5 Amano Shrimps, I have also have about 10-15 Baby Platys which I am giving to my LFS. I will be upgrading the tank to a Juwel Rio 125 but won't be until Xmas... Would it be okay to have x2 Angels in the tank??? I am running a fluval U2 filter, would this be enough space for them?

angels need atleast 18 inches in height - - atleast a 20+ US gallons for ONE angel. your tank is waaaaay too small

if you buy the smallest ones you can find they should be ok in there untill you buy a bigger tank at xmas really angels need a minimum of 30gallons

Thanks for the help, I will give them a miss until I get a bigger tank, are there other fish I could get to keep my fry population down?

see...I disagree with that. It is only March....A LOT can happen between now and december that would prevent them from getting another tank and then you still have to consider cycling time....just wait until you have a tank that can give the fish a proper home....
tank first, fish second. that is how it should always go.

when it comes to any livebearer, if you do not want babies you should stick to same sex groups. reducing the amount of cover or hiding places will lead to plenty of fry being eaten...you could also introduce a betta . . they can make great community fish and LOVE eating fry!

I would say wait until the big tank arrives, as that really is too small for angel (even one) and they do grow fairly quickly, that would be the sensible and healthy option
