I have been supplementing the pellets I feed my fish with frozen food. A friend of mine saw the bloodworms I have been using a noted that they should be redder in color. I am now starting to worry about my forzen food supply.
I heard though the freeze dried food could cause internal damage.
I think the problem with freeze dried is, overstated. it, really, needs re-hydrated prior to being used. it, seems, that the food can cause problems if the fish eats it un-hydrated. in theory, freeze dried should retain more of its food value, than frozen food.
as for which type to use? it does not matter, as long as the food provides the requirement, of your fish, it could be anything. there are no rules, even though it may seem so, if you read, some, of this thread.
i feed flake, algae wafers, frozen blood worm, daphnia and some fresh food like cucumber, courgettes, carrot slices and peas (well peas are frozen, but defrosted and skinned.) i keep some freeze dried, for emergencies.
