When I 1st reset my tanks back up, a couple years ago, freeze dried brine shrimp cubes were a treat… I go out of my way to feed a quality, varied diet… the fish will still eat freeze dried brine shrimp cubes, but they have become something they eat last ( at this point, I’m honestly just trying to get rid of them ), I had bought a gallon sized jar, and I’m about half way through them… they still love the Tubiflex cubes ( I break both up, when I feed them ), but with the brine cubes, they pretty much snub their noses at them, since they get frozen ones now, at least once a week ( I noticed the same with blood worms… they won’t even touch a dried worm, after getting frozen ones )… of course, better foods, better colors, and better life… I may end up actually throwing away the rest of the freeze dried brine shrimp…

Fish get spoiled from the head down.

I don't think a good diet is spoiling them. I go to a degree of trouble to prepare cultured live foods for my fish, and hate giving the insect eaters any prepared foods. I do it, because cultures crash, and sometimes I am very busy. I hurt my foot 2 days ago and didn't hobble out to do the brine shrimp cultures for today. Stuff like that happens, and I'll get things back on track today.

I think feeding fish is fun. Good nutrition matters, and it gives visible results.

Prepared foods have improved dramatically over the past few years, and for omnivorous species, they're pretty good. It's become a pretty cut throat business, and a lot of good brands come and go. All are very similar to me. You feed what works, and hopefully, the results are satisfying. You have to take good care of your creatures!

Freeze drying brine shrimp must reduce them to the hard parts. They'd be good roughage though. Make a frozen food recipe and use the dried artemia in it...
