Tons and tons of interesting catfish options for you without going for the monsters like red tails and shovel noses. Jaguar Catfish are pretty awesome as are Sorbium Lima which are a small shovel nose that would do well in that size tank tons of good catfish for that size if you want feature catfish aim to go around the 12-15 inch mark but dont be tempted by 2 foot catfish because they will eat most of your otehr fish lol.

Fill your boots with some pretty amazing fish in that tank!! Stingrays possibly??

stingrays was my aim, i am picking up 2 clarias catfish on saturday both in there own tanks, if i can i will get the rays after but if the clarias will attack them i will have to re-think my stock ideas

Google twiglet in swallow aquatics (or go visit him if your near Nowich, UK) - its a big fish...

how bout Giraffe cats? a fish I would love to keep

I would be cautious of adding clarius as these are active, messy and will only mix with much larger fish - don't think a good companion for stingrays.
I'd suggest, as Wills above, Sorubim lima, or, if you can get one a Platystomatichthys sturio, adult at ~14" so an ideal fish for your tank. Alternatively, two or three Pimelodus ornatus. Jaguar cat are one of my favourites, and although very nocturnal, are an amazing sight cruising the tank after lights out. I've had a female over 6" and have kept several others of varying sizes over the years.

Changes his mind like his underwear so it seems, the amount of threads popping up about completely different areas within aquatics. You'll find what you want sooner or later - i hope. :shout:
