My most interactive fish is my electric blue acara. He’s got a strong personality and he often flares at me and showes of his fins. He is the boss of the tank and a bully. I should be rehoming him, however I’m trying to delay it for as long as possible.

For me it was Comet Goldfish. Closest thing to an aquatic dog I know.

They made loud claps with their mouth at the surface when begging for food. I could pet them and tickle their bellies, they would become all excited and race around the pool to come back to my hand. They also loved playing with ping-pong balls and where bringing it back to me so I could trow it again. They would also splash water at you to get your attention.

I started to get nervous with them as they became quite large and cut my hands more than once. Then they started to jump in my arms when I came, close because they where "happy" to see me.

I loved these 3 musketeers, Athos, Porthos and Aramis. But at the end before I relocate them. They where scaring me. Loll.
Is this for real?! 🤯

My experience is that most happy fish learn to trust their providers, err who feeds them. All of mine do. Even fish people consider very skidish come to feed from my hand, even Anostomids, hemiodontids, and silver dollars. Don’t know if the fact that I only feed 4-5 days per week affects that, but all my fish in all my tanks always come to the front, even if I am not feeding.

Is this for real?! 🤯
Yes... My first comet lived in a less than 1 gallon bowl with no decor for more than 9 years and he was a cheerful buddy that loved sunbaths and being carried all around the house as long as being with you.

Closest thing to a real dog...
