So it looks like my big yellow male decided my smallest yellow male needed a lesson in social standing. The wee guy has a pretty big wound by his tail. I moved him to a small air stoned tank I am going to rig a mini filter to the stone with a nylon and some mature media in the morning. However Should I put some salt in with this little guy? Not sure how ciclids handle aquarium salt. So far I just added a quarter capful of stress coat to the tank to help recoat him a bit while I figure out what to do for him.

Sadly he didnt make it . I gave him fresh water this morning And have not been able to check the forums since my last post. They realy did a number on him. Is Melafix a Cichlid specific med or any fish bodily injury med? I will hafto keep some in my stash in the future.

Its generic im sure, you can use it for almost all fin related issues
