I'm convinced my fish have TB

Hi Elisabeth83 :)

You have certainly had your share of fish problems! :X

Check this link out and see if it is any help to you. It is Waterlife's site and it has a list of symptoms an recommends their treatments for them. Since I know you can get that brand, I hope it will help:

You might want to look at #16 since your sick fish are mollies.

Good luck!

Yes I certainly am having my fair share of fish problems -_- :-(

I just checked out the link you sent me and looked at number 16 and that is exactly what is going on with my mollies.

Externally I can't see any problems with them besides the thinness. They swim unbalanced and "shimmy" which I am assuming means shake. Near the later stages they do lay listless on the bottom of the tank just kind of shaking.

Ok ok we're on to something here!!!

So heres where I am confused:

"DISEASE
The SHIMMIES - in the author's experience a broad spectrum invasion by numerous pathogens, protozoan, bacterial and fungal is responsible"

"TROPICAL FRESHWATER & COLDWATER AQUARIA
Remove fish to water containing at least 20% ULTRAMARINE seawater. Increase temp. To 27°C (85°F) Days 1 - 4 - PROTOZIN Days 6 - 8 - MYXAZIN"

So I treat with Protozin for days 1-4 and then Myxazin for days 6-8. Question is what days do I treat? Everyday? And how much?

Looks like I'll have to email the waterlife company??

Ok just looked up Protozin and I treat on days 1,2,3 and 6 but since it says for treatment of the Shimmies to treat on days 1,2,3 and 4. The Myxazin I do the same treat on days 6,7 and 8.

Looks like I'm off to another pet shop tomorrow as they are the nearest place that sells the waterlife products. Man alive...this is hard work I tell ya!!!!

Good luck, I no you have had your fare share of fish problems, thing can only get better.

Well with 4 tanks I guess I'm bound to have some problems. Thing is this problem with my mollies has been going on for months but I could never figure out what the heck was wrong with them. Even after numerous posts on here and researching all the time no one knew what was going on.

I just hope I have finally found the answer!!!

Thanks everyone

Inchworm...your a life saver!!!!!
