Red eyes should be fine they will be to big to be eaten. Just a thought but if its a new tank why not have sand? It makes things a whole lot more flexible? And the catfish of any kind will be greatful for it.

Sorry for not posting, this weeks been a bit hectic, still haven't had time to set it up but here's a pic of it.

It couldn't get up stairs, so it had to go in the back room
