If You Were Given £1,000, What Would You Buy?

I think that most people without fish rooms would spend it on getting a fish room made...
Anyone have any differant ideas?
Keep em comeing.

I would but an 8 fight tank with a canister filter and make it a tank for red bellied piranhas. It would come complete with lighting hood stand and everything. It would have large pieces of bog wood and lava rocks.

Or I could do a shark tank with all balas.

A fortnights scuba diving holiday in Sharm, looking at all the pretty fish on the reefs :D

Arfie

7x4x2 Mbu tank.

I'm not sure 1000 would stretch to it though, including filtration.

£1000 is like...1871.5 U.S. dollars

So then.....

There's a LFS called fish city. They have THE most amazing tanks w/ stands. Really high class stuff.

One is like, 150 gallon tall in the shape of a 60's fidge.
Another is like, 90 long and it looks so classy. One is a coffee table, ect.

Honestly, I'd get the 90 Gallon one, Scoot my desk over, and set it up to the wall where my 38 gallon is.
So there goes 800-1000 US $ on this super fancy tank.

Then I'd spend about 50-70 on sand. And then I'd probably end up spengin 70 on bog wood, and 200 on live plants. so I'm into 1270. Add on to that to 1470 for the heater and filter.

That leaves us with 401 us $ to spend.

Simply to stock fish.
Hmmmmm......
6x Cobalt blue Discus would be about $180 here (30 a piece)
6x Roseline shark would be $180 here

So that's 360. only $40 more...

And because I already have the Albino senegal bichir to go In, I'd add in some specialty pleco, spending $10 of my own. Probably a galaxy pleco or something.

So yes. 200 on plants. But hey, if it's free, it's me.

Well, even with money like that to spend I wouldn't have any more room, so I'd have to get a loft bed so I would have more space in my room...dunno how much that would cost. I think around $400 or something. Okay, so, no big tanks since I'm in an upstairs apartment...

I'd probably just go with a 29G & stand to breed bettas in. That would be around $160...Then I'd get some 2.5G tanks for all the bettas I already have...so that would be another $75. Then, of course a breeding pair...$50. So...so far that comes to $685. Leaves me with $1185... I'd also update my sister's bettas tanks...another $50.

Food for betta fry...$30... Plus I'd probably spend a good $500 on just stuff.

I'd save the rest and use it for impulse buys. (And probably pay the power bill a month or two since mom seems to be having trouble with that :p)

Im likeing Fellas idea, would look ace!!!

I would buy 2 zebra plecs and a 48" tank I I dont think my 36" tank is big enough. (Is this right?? If they would be Okay in a 36" tank I may start saving up as they are beautiful).

I just love those fish!!

Then I would get some really colourful varieties of Guppies... common I know but there are some outsanding lines out there now :).

:)

Let see..
I'd buy this http://cgi.ebay.com/New-240-gallon-reef-re...1QQcmdZViewItem

And spend the rest on cutting a whole in the wall, and buying some 2x4's to support the tank for an in-wall unit.

Then I'd save money untill I got a job and then finish the project. ;)

I am no expert, but I think that a 3ft is alright for a breeding colony. Most people breed them now to make sure other people can enjoy the fish for cheaper :D

What would be the best price you think I could get 2 zebra plecs for?? I am by no means rich but if I saved up, a couple of those amazing plecs would be amazing!
