If You Were Given £1,000, What Would You Buy?

Ooooo new idea, put it in the bank and wait till I gain enough interest on it for my dream tank 144"x72"x72" with 72"x36"x72" sump and 72"x72"x72" refiguim. I'll get it one day

I'd buy a clown triggerfish and the biggest tank I could get with the remainder of the money.

at all the people who think they can set a fishroom up with £1000, that "might" just about pay for the insulation and plumbing, prehaps a timber rack or two if you can DIY it yourself. Of course if you already have a insulated room with a plumbed water source and enough power points £1000 would get you a bit further.

With £1000 i would put the new roof on my fish house (£600) and lay the concrete floor (£250) and use the left over cash to start insulating the walls, i might get one wall done with £150.

I think i'd go for Brand new 6"x2"x2" or try and get a second hand 7"x3"x3"

I would buy the really nice corner tank & stand I saw yesterday (can't remember how big it was but it was £800 including heater filters etc) and transfer my tropical community into that (and grow it a bit!!). I would convert my current tank into a Betta sorority tank and get maybe 3 small tanks for male Bettas.

This all relies on having sold my house, and finding & moving into a bigger one! (Should happen soon I hope!!).

I would buy a really old kitch T.V (you know? Like brown plastic that is sposed to look like wood and massive) and spend some time converting it into a small reef tank, I'v always wanted to get around to doing that (who the hell am I kidding on a grand though!)

ADA glass tank (48x18x24) and Giesemann Infinity lighting (2 x 150w + 4 x HO T5)..... and I'd still have to put some extra cash in. Quality not quantity. Not enough time for fish room!

Probably insulate the empty shed and sort out the electrics, shelfs, and some of the tanks for that amount of money.
