Mystery snails are apple snails.

But there are several species of apple snail, some eat live plants, some eat only dead plants. You need to identify which species you have to know if it will eat live plants. There is a website that deals with nothing but apple snails, but I don't know if I'm allowed to post its name. (google apple snail website)

thank you.. i poster photos as well to help me in identifying

That's the website I wasn't sure if I could link to :)

In the section on 'species' they give guides to identifying the different species. It is always easier to identify a snail (or fish) that you can see rather than from a photo.

Mystery Snails are Apple snails, The reason they call them Mystery Snails at LFS is because they don't know what type they are.
