I Need An Opnion If My Tank Is Big Enough

ok i have 2 red belly pecus in a 185 gallon tank with 2 175 gallon canister filters and a 125 gallon sponge filter will this be good for a permanant home or will i need a bigger tank.any advice will greatly help

They will need a bigger tank. They can reach 30 inches in length and weigh more than 60 pounds.

what should i do with them i like them alot but there is know way ill be able to afford a bigger tank this 1 costed around 1500 should i try and sell them or what i was trying to decide if i wanted to keep oscars or the pacus but if i cant keep the pacus i guess youv made up my mind so there is know way i can keep them in my 185 they r only a little bigger than my oscars know and they r 14 inches each so i would say they r 16 inches each if i do sell how much should i ask for them

I think you'd struggle selling them and they'll most liekly get given away free to public aquaria, not many people will be able to house them.

Probably have more luck re-homing them if they aren't full size yet. Try to make sure that whoever adopts them, will give them the right environment.

tanks to small for fully grown pacu,your looking at a 250gallon at the very least,sorry

where are you located?i know some people's with large tropical pond's that rehome big fish, in both the uk and the usa...
