For anyone who can tell me where I can get a silk or plastic Amazonian Frogtbite (or similar). Not had much luck with my live one and now it's totally disappeared and my Gourami needs something to hide under.

Had a quick look on ebay and couldn't see anything.

Live frogbit should be easy to find on E-bay or on Aquabid. I have some in my tanks if you are close enough to exchange it without shipping. I am located in central Illinois.

Ha thanks Oldman but I'm in East Sussex, England.

If I can't find any fake I'll get some more live. It's just my only plant that hasn't made it so I wonder if my PH or something was all wrong for it.

i had exactly the same problem. All my other plants do really well in my tank, but i just couldn't keep frogbit alive

It's odd isn't it? Shame coz it's a lovely plant when it grows.

try mini water-lettuce, my bettas love it and it seems easy to care for, looks pretty too

I've just sat here and bought some moonlight lighting and digital timers (coz I can't stand the sound of my other one) so the plants may have to wait a while.

Mind you, they are usually cheap........

the mini-lettuce is lovely and the roots look nice, my bettas hide in it, i've ordered some more ohh and it isn't pricey!
