it's informative, I wish I have found it before I changed to sand before.

I notice that no one ever mention that fish poo will stand out in sand, especially in very light or very dark colored sand

just wondering can a fish choke on sand because if sa corys digging through the sand then eats food from the sand and sand is on the food or while (s)hes inhaling wont they swallow the sand?? or is it okay for them??

im setting up a cichlid tank with sand and it is not to hard....so far im just letting it settle....

No your fish will not choke on the sand It will just pass through and infact it will aid digestion your fish does not have the teeth we have If you or I ate a sand sandwhich our teeth would be ground down significantly but your fishs jaw will not It is softer than our teeth and will regrow. as far as chokeing goes the sand particles are much smaller than the food and wont clump together.
