How Often Should I Feed Fry

Kribensis fry, and I feed "First Bites." I will also be feeding BBS in about a weeks time.

Should I just feed once daily?

I cannot tell, since the fry are so small, if they are eating or not. Obviously they are or they would not be alive, but should I just put some "First Bites" in once a day?

I use a plastic knife to scoop some out of the bag, a very small amount that is.

Never used first bites, I made the mistake of using liquifry, killed all my krib fry. My last batch of fry I just crushed flake food into a fine powder and fed it 2 daily to start then upto 4 times a day as they grew.

The more often, the better! ..in my experience, in small quantities I prefer to make up my own foods.. only make sure the food is a bit smaller then the frys' mouth. Frequent water changes help with uneaten food.

I feed fry three times a day and waterchange quite a lot in the process. I also feed only livefoods. Starting with Paramoecium through BBS, Micro and Banana-worm onto Grindalworm and subsequently Tubifex, Whiteworm, Daphnia, Beefheart and Frozen diets.
A good rule of thumb is to look at the eye of the fry and feed foods of similar size.

Why did the First bites kill off the fry?

They said Liquifry, didn't they, FHM? ;D

Maybe it's liquid, so stuff grew in it and somehow killed off all the fry or somethings? I dunno. Hmm....

FHM, I have used firstbites before, and I fed 4 times daily until the fry were large enough to eat bbs. After you reach bbs stage it gets easier.

I feed my fry at least 3 times a day. Usually upwards of 5 times. But you need to keep up on the water changes.

I would feed fry twice a day. in the morning and then again at night, just make sure there is like ~3-5 pieces of food for each fish.
