so I typically add algae cookies in with this mix, but I dust up bug bites, a custom blend of 3 sources of flake food, and add in a small scoop of 50% protein fry food ( this is my "regular" blend, but every other time I substitute another staple for the fry food ) I only feed every other , or 3rd day, so they are hungry... I feed enough, that everyone gets fed, doing this lets me see some of the tiny varieties of hillstream's. like my red or blue tails, that are just over an inch long... fish come out of every corner on most tanks... my worm line pleco, and male sailfin tetra come out of their caves... the hatchets all come out of the roots... it's a glorious sight...

Do you use mostly commercial prepared foods then ? I use some vegetable pellets and freeze dried tubifex on my guppies and also fine powdered dry food for the fry . None of my Killifish will even sniff at dry food .

I also find it convenient and beneficial to my fish to make up my own food.
These are all of the foods I try to keep so all of my fish stay healthy.
I only have panda and peppered corydoras, five kuhli loaches and cory fry ranging from 8 months down to newly laid eggs.
Although I do use my trusty 4 kilo mortar and pestle to roughly break up the wafers, then all of the "harder" ingredients, including the bug bites, go into my rechargeable, electric pepper grinder on the finest setting. That way, they mix really well with the first bites and freeze dried blood worms (I powderise the worms in the m&p as well)
The pepper mill makes things a lot quicker and easier, and all my fish go nuts when they hear it and see me use it!
I don't always combine the same foods, mixing it up so they enjoy the variety while benefiting from the various nutritional values.
I also hatch my own baby brine shrimp to give the fry plenty of strength while growing, and treat the adults.
As per the first picture, my fry are all busily demanding their breakfast and the adults are looking for some yummies too!
