How Many Fish Is Ok For 60Ltr Tank?

Hi all

Just a quick question about stocking my 60 ltr tank.

How many do you think I should have? I have 6 gold tetra's and 4 tiger barbs at present.

Any help would be great!

I was going to ask on the chat option but not working here for some reason? perhaps it down at the moment?

I personally would advise against tiger barbs in a 60l as they're pretty big fish when fully grown. And due to the barbs I'd say you're getting close to being fully stocked.
Plus with the barbs being in a relatively small group I wouldn't put anything in there unless they wouldn't notice it or it could defend itself.
If anything I'd suggest you add a few more gold tetras.

I just looked on wikipedia and noticed that these fish can grow upto 7cm long(2.75 in) and 3 centimeters wide,(1.18 in) It's a shame my Lfs gave me the wrong information on these fish (nice of them) Mind you I have no one to blame but myself as I should of researched this for myself. I do have another tank I am thinking of setting up, so it looks as though this tiger barbs might end up in there...

Edit: I am currently gathering bit's and bob's to start up a planted tank(my 60 ltr) (nearly there) and am trying to find some fish that would be ok to have in it. Would you have any suggestions by any chance? I am looking to find the most colourful one's if poss. I don't mind either giving the fish I have already away...
